Dr Toheed Nasir is a general dentist at Park Street Dental, welcoming new patients in Thame on Thursdays and Fridays. He trained in Australia, has worked as a dentist in a number of different countries, and has a particular passion for looking after anxious patients.
“Dental anxiety, unfortunately, is growing, and it’s our job as professionals to try and put our patients at ease,” he says. His approach is simple: don’t rush, explain everything clearly, and give you room to breathe.
“It’s making sure the patient doesn’t feel rushed. It’s communicating clearly and slowly. It’s giving them a chance to breathe” — with breaks whenever you need them. If it’s been years since your last visit, there’s no lecture and no judgement.

“We start with a casual conversation,” Dr Nasir explains — your dental history, any worries, and what you’d like to get from the appointment. From there he examines the inside and outside of your mouth: “We check the face, the neck. We’re experts in the whole head and neck area, so there are things we can pick up that people might not notice.”
